yea i have an stp 2 2008, its a prety good ride & real nice for jumps, prety small jumps but i dont blame you coz its a new bike & your probably not used to it anyway

got a stealth black 08 stp1 with marzocchi dj2(custom graphics), spank 50mm stem, titec el norte bars, odi ruffians, the rest is stock for now. i dont think ill be getting rid of the raceface evolve dh cranks and diabolus chain guide for awhile but i will ne replacing the seat and post soon. oh and the 08 came out at the end of 07 so you get a years riding out of it. some companys release bikes earlier than others. the 09 is out now.

trust me a single speed on a mtn bike is not fun...climbing hills is extremely hard...and on roads u go really slow...its good ot be able ot change gear

yes stp's are gererally good bikes for jumping,trail jumping, not cross country bikes and are not desinged for DH, but they can be used for light Dh if u want. they are also good for street abnd sjate park riding, stp is the best stp apart from the STP pro. STP stands for Street, Trail, PArk
