$FRAPS bug in King\$

FRAPS bug in King's Quest 8

While recording video from the PC game "King's Quest VIII: Mask of Eternity" a rather strange thing happened. Activating FRAPS disabled the movement keys and I couldn't move the character. Instead that, I could move the prefabricated meshes around. See for yourself.

The first levels are very good. My favorite is the swamp - the music, the setting, the creatures. This is one of my favorite levels from all games I've ever played.

Not an official one no. An unofficial game is being developed by Phoenix Online Studios. The name is The Silver Lining(according to their license agreement with Vivendi, they could not use Kings Quest in their title.), and should be released sometime this year. tsl-game [dot] com

Well, unfortunately, The last time I tried to play it on Windows XP, it froze at the exact same spot. Before that the game used to freeze at the moment when you get the ax and the first dark minion appears, but I used cheats to get the ax and skipped it. The weapon seller I don't know how to skip though. It's an inevitable way point. This game is too old, and doesn't go well with Windows XP. If you have access to an older PC with Windows 98, you may try it.

I loved the game but I had to leave it. In chapter 5, when I go to talk to the weapons seller, the game stands frozen with the loading icon on the corner and I can´t do anything. I restarted the pc, reinstalled the game, downloaded patches, even tried some cheats... but happened the same. Please, can you tell me the solution for this? Just post here and I´ll come to read it. Thanks. (sorry for my english, i´m spanish)
